About CalRTA Area V

CalRTA Organizational Structure

Members
join  local groups called Divisions.
Each division has a name, number
and a governing board.

Divisions
are joined in a group, often
geographically, to form an Area.
There are nine divisions in Area V.

Areas
each has a Director, who is elected
by delegates from the Area at the
May Convention every two years.

Area Directors
represent Division, Area and State
Committee issues, and institute board
policies at the five CalRTA State
Board of Directors meetings each year.

State Board of Directors
consists of Officers elected by convention
delegates and twelve Area Directors.

State Committees
are made up of members representing
each Area, and meet several times a year
to provide member support and recommend
actions to be taken by the Board of Directors.

Members
take action on the recommendation of the Board
of Directors to support the goals of CalRTA.
